Meet the Team

Osprey Funds is run by experts who have invested in crypto since 2013 and launched over 100 exchange-traded products. Members of the management team built their experience at firms including Barclays, Credit Suisse, Citi, Global X Funds, J.P. Morgan, PIMCO, and more.

Bill Birmingham, CFA

Chief Investment Officer

Bill is the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Research for Osprey Funds.  Bill has 20 years of investment experience performing fundamental research, risk management, and portfolio building at a number of hedge funds, notably Carlson Capital, Impala Asset Management, and Xylem Global Partners.

Bill is a CFA charterholder and has a B.A., cum laude, in Politics, Ethics, and Economics from the University Professors Program at Boston University.

He holds a J.D. and LL.M in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.

Regan Cucinell

Chief People and Productivity Officer

Regan is the Chief People and Productivity Officer for Osprey Funds (coupling top talent and productivity strategies). Regan comes to Osprey with 20 years of financial services and management experience. Prior to Osprey she consulted in the HR & Talent, Corporate Strategy and Executive Coaching space in various industries including Technology and Financial Services. Before that she was at Bridgewater Associates for 16 years, holding senior roles in People & Talent, Management and Compliance.

Regan holds a B.S. in Psychology and Neuroscience from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and an MBA from Fordham University.She is also the Co-Head of Partnerships for NeighborShare, a non-profit direct giving facilitator organization, and sits on the Advisory Board for Dr. B.

Jack Drogin

General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer

Jack is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, after serving as outside regulatory and trust counsel since 2018. His experience in over a decade at the SEC and two decades in private practice includes significant work in the structuring and listing of exchange-traded products, and the regulation of securities markets, broker-dealers and investment managers.

Jack has extensive experience advising clients on digital currency and blockchain legal and regulatory matters including, in particular, the application of the federal  securities laws and FINRA rules to initial coin offerings, trading of digital assets, and related clearing and custody issues.

Jack began his career in the Banking Department of Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy in 1989.  From 1991-2001, he served in the SEC’s Division of Market Regulation (now Trading & Markets), rising to the position of Assistant Director, Market Supervision.  From July 2001 until joining Osprey, he was in private practice at Washington, DC law firms, including Morgan Lewis, Schiff Hardin, and Murphy & McGonigle.

Jack received his JD from Harvard Law School in 1989 and his BA from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985.

Paul Feibus

Senior Vice President, Research

Paul joined Osprey in 2022 as a research analyst after 7 years in various risk management roles at Morgan Stanley. Most recently he focused on implementing the first risk program for artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms. Previously, he was at Deutsche Bank for 5 years.

Paul started tracking bitcoin in 2011 and graduated from Villanova University with a BA in Economics. Outside of work, Paul loves traveling, playing chess, and spending time with his family.

Matt Gerics

Associate, Investor Relations

Matt joined Osprey in 2021. Previously, he worked at REX Shares and TPN, a division of Omnicom.  Matt graduated from Denison University in 2020 with B.A. in Global Commerce. He played 4 years of varsity basketball and was named team captain for his senior year.  In his free time, he volunteers as a mentor and coach at the Hoops and Dreams Foundation, an organization focused on improving the lives of disadvantaged youth in the greater Bridgeport area.

Matt Hazen

Digital Marketing Specialist

Matt joined Osprey in early 2022 on the marketing team, supporting all paid initiatives for Osprey Funds. Previously, he managed a team of advertisers for a digital marketing agency. He has many years of experience across multiple advertising channels.
Matt resides in the Loveland, Colorado with his fiancée and their dog Gus.

Greg King, CFA

Founder and CEO

Greg founded Osprey Funds in 2018, combining his transformative financial product experience and interest in crypto. Greg is also the Founder & CEO of REX Shares (since 2015). Previously, he Co-founded VelocityShares (2009), which was acquired by Janus in 2014. Greg is an innovator in the field, launching over 100 ETPs including the first ETPs tracking VIX, broad-based commodities, and FANG stocks.

Greg has held key positions at Barclays, Credit Suisse, and Global X Funds. He earned an MBA from University of California, Davis and is a CFA charterholder. He has been a bitcoin investor since 2013 and enjoys spending time on his hobby farm in Redding, CT.

Aga Kuplinska

Senior Vice President, Product Development

Aga is a seasoned product developer and strategist. Prior to joining Osprey in November 2021, she spent her career with Invesco in the US and BNY Mellon in the UK, where she originated and executed on major new product initiatives in both public and private markets. She excels at bringing multiple functions of a business together to deliver innovative, streamlined, and valuable investment solutions.

Aga earned a BSc (Hons) degree in banking and international finance from Cass Business School, University of London and is a CFA charterholder. She currently resides in Miami and loves traveling, tennis, skiing, and music festivals.

Matt Mascera

Director of Operations

Matt joined Osprey in 2020. Previously, he managed Operations and Trading at Seacliff Capital. Prior to that, he held senior positions at UBS, FBR & Co., and Charles Schwab. Matt has extensive transactional experience across multiple asset classes.

Matt earned a BSM in Finance from Tulane University. He sits on the Board of Directors of Share Hope Foundation. Matt is a foodie and lives in Westport, Connecticut with his family.

Scott Mckenna

Vice President, Distribution

Scott joined Osprey at the beginning of 2021 and works on the Investor Relations team, supporting client initiatives and helping to execute on the distribution strategy for Osprey Funds. Scott began his career selling and producing video content for the wealth management industry before going on to lead marketing efforts for ETF analytics startup ETFLogic. Scott has produced crypto and ETF market commentary for various media outlets, and has been featured in MarketWatch and theStreet. Off the clock, you can find him doing home improvement projects.

Mike Meszaros

Associate, Investor Relations

Mike joined Osprey in 2022. He became intrigued with the ease and speed of digital currency while using it while studying abroad in Beijing, China.  When he returned to the United States, he continued to educate himself about blockchain technology while trading a multitude of crypto assets.

Mike graduated with an M.B.A. concentrated in Business Analytics & Information Systems from Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business in 2022. Prior to Fairfield, Mike earned a B.B.A in Economics and minor in Mathematics from Loyola University Maryland. At Loyola, he was a member of the rugby team and helped achieve the #1 national ranking in the National Small College Rugby Organization his senior year.

Matt Pelletier

Senior Vice President, Trading

Matt joined Osprey in 2021.  Previously, he held positions in Fixed Income Sales and Trading at BNP Paribas, Bank of the West and Susquehanna International Group.  He has more than 20 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services.

Matt earned an MBA from the University of California at Davis.  He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two children and enjoys traveling and mountain biking.

Robert Rokose

Chief Financial Officer

Bob joined Osprey in 2020, bringing 28 years of accounting and financial reporting experience to the company.

Previously, he served as CFO and Managing Director at PIMCO/Allianz Funds, CFO of U.S. Funds at JP Morgan Asset Management, and Assistant Comptroller of Lexington Global.

Bob earned an M.B.A. from University of Connecticut and is a CPA Charterholder. He is an avid skier and lives in Ramsey, New Jersey with his wife and two kids.

Riley Rosenberger

Content Lead

Riley has used the internet to leverage his career.

He moved East in the Summer of 2018 where he sat on a trading desk in Midtown Manhattan.

Riley then worked with a family office in Santa Monica during the Summer of 2019 before joining Stocktwits full-time in the Fall of 2019.

While at Stocktwits, Riley led the Stocktwits Daily Rip growing subscribers from 100,000 to over 1.2M. He also co-hosted Stocktwits After Hours, a daily post-market podcast that climbed into Spotify’s Top-25 business podcasts.

Riley grew up in Loveland, Colorado and studied at Arizona State University (DNF).

Weens Simon

Senior Fund Accountant

Weens joined Osprey in 2022. He previously worked as a Senior Fund Accountant at Alter Domus, a leading provider of integrated solutions for the alternative investment industry. Born and raised in Haiti, Weens moved to Fort Myers, Florida for high school. From there, he was recruited to play soccer at Southern Connecticut State University and graduated from SCSU in 2019 with a B.A. in Accounting and a minor in French. Weens lives in Stamford, CT and enjoys playing soccer, reading, working out, and volunteering.

Kseniya Soukeras

Fund Finance Manager

Kseniya joined Osprey in 2021, bringing 10 years of financial services industry accounting and auditing experience. Prior to joining Osprey, she was a fund manager at Alter Domus. Before that, she served 8 years in public accounting as an auditor for private equity funds, venture capital, hedge funds, broker-dealers, and investment advisors.

Kseniya is a CPA — she earned her BBA in Accounting from Baruch College. She lives in Weston, Connecticut, and loves skiing and gardening.

John Sweeney

Chief Operating Officer

John Sweeney is Chief Operating Officer of Osprey Funds and runs investor relations, marketing and product development. He was the Founder and Managing Partner of Momentum Capital Partners, LLC, providing consulting and advisory services to global financial services firms, fintech startups and private equity firms.

John was previously the Head of Wealth and Asset Management at Figure Technologies, a fintech unicorn, building Business to Consumer financial products on top of Provenance, a Business to Business blockchain. 

Before Figure, John was an Executive Vice President at Fidelity Investments where he and his team built the firm’s first ETF retail Separately Managed Account and Unified Managed Account.

Elected Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Money Management Institute, John is the co-founder of the Blockchain Finance Forum, a public MMI community bringing together blockchain innovators and the financial services industry. He currently serves on the advisory boards of Icon Savings Plan and Bento Engine, two financial services startups.

John is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and received his MBA from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management where he was President of his class.

Outside of work, John plays hockey and paddle tennis. He and his wife enjoy supporting the interests of their three children.

Shay Wadsworth

Senior Marketing Manager

Shay joined Osprey in 2021. Previously, she held marketing positions at Envestnet Financial Technologies and Transamerica. She has over 8 years of experience with project management, campaign development, and new product launches.

Shay earned a BBA in Marketing and Information Technology from Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. She lives in Colorado and loves camping and skiing.

David Worley, CFA

Managing Director, Compliance

David has over 30 years of experience in financial services and senior management.  Prior to joining Osprey Funds, he was Sr. Director – Compliance & Ethics for HealthEquity, Inc., a public company.  Prior to HealthEquity he was Global Head of Compliance for over 5 years with Arrowgrass Capital Partners, a London-based hedge fund manager.  Prior to Arrowgrass, David served in various legal and compliance capacities for over 10 years with Guggenheim Partners.  David also served in a variety of capacities for a number of organizations, including NatWest Markets, Kidder, Peabody, Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, Jones Day Reavis & Pogue and the SEC. He is a CFA charter-holder, and is licensed to practice law in New York and California.

Brian is the Managing Partner & Chief Investment Officer at Off the Chain Capital, a firm focused on Graham/Dodd value investing in blockchain and digital assets.

Josh Brown

Joshua Brown is the CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, a New York City-based investment advisory firm. Josh is the author of the book Backstage Wall Street. Josh is also the founder of the popular blog The Reformed Broker.

Michael Komaransky

Michael is the founder of Grapefruit Trading, a crypto market maker firm. Prior, Michael served as Head of Trading at Cumberland, DRW’s digital-currency unit where he played a key role in building of the world’s leading liquidity providers in cryptoassets.

J. Parsons

J. Parsons has been a leader in the exchange traded product industry for over 20 years. Most recently, J. served as Global Head of Sales in the iShares business of Barclays Global Investors (BGI), where he played a key role in accelerating ETF distribution to financial advisors.
